Festivals of India- Kumbh Mela, Holi, Diwali, Nav ratri, Durga Puja, Ganesh Visarjan
India's philosophy is: The World is one family- Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – वसुधैव कुटुम्बकं.
Indian Greeting is Namaste. You join two hands and bow to the other person. Namaste means I bow to the good/god in you. I respect you. I accept you. No other greeting in the world is probably as meaningful as Namaste.
You start with visioning the world as one family. Then you respect and accept everyone you meet or come across. Festivals do the rest. Most festivals in the world are internal or limited to family- Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. India opens up its festival. They are celebrated beyond an individual or a family. The community becomes a family and celebrated the festivals.
Kumbh Mela- Millions come to one place and create the largest makeover city on the planet to celebrate Kumbh Mela.
Holi,. Navaratri, Ganesh Visarjan. Enjoy some clips and see how India, even though it is probably the most diverse nation on the planet, how it becomes one and celebrates festivals with fun, food, and friends, alongside the religious significance.
